ABOUT US
Welcome to McCarter’s Towing LLC.
McCarter’s Towing has been serving the tri-state area since 1972.
We began with a one ton Chevy wrecker working out of our BP gas station in December of 1972, located at the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and East Main Street in Denville, NJ. In 1977 the BP station was changed to a Getty station, which most people remember as McCarter’s Getty. In 1992 McCarter’s opened a second location in Rockaway, located at 74 Cobb Street. At this location, we provided truck repairs and housed our towing operation. McCarter’s has since moved away from the gas station and repair business and focuses on towing, recovery, and transportation services.
McCarter’s Towing has grown from a one truck operation to a fleet of 11 trucks including light, medium and heavy duty tow trucks, flatbeds and low-bed trailers. We provide towing and transport service for many local repair shops, automotive dealers, commercial companies and private customers. Our drivers are certified through the TRAA (Towing and Recovery Association of America).
McCarter’s Towing also provides equipment and machinery moves, using our flatbeds, 50 ton detachable low-bed trailer and our 35 ton hydraulic landoll trailer.
Lastly, McCarter’s provides a truck drive away service for companies who need their trucks delivered to a dealer for warrantee work or a simple repair. This service allows companies to keep their employees in house and focused on their work, without wasting a day delivering a truck for minor repairs.
